A personal note from Greg Karpovsky

March 30, 2022

I never normally use a corporate platform to express my personal thoughts and emotions. But in light of recent events, I feel compelled to share my views.

I am a British national but I was born in Russia and lived a large part of my life there.

I am horrified by this unjust and unnecessary war. Since its beginning, my thoughts have been on little else. I have placed a huge focus of my time and resource on the small amount we can do to help the people of Ukraine. I wish it could be more.

Encouragingly, we have been able to evacuate all colleagues who wanted to leave Ukraine. We have also been able to arrange accommodation, help with translation, and provide legal and financial help for more than 70 families of Ukrainian refugees in Germany. This number is growing every day.

I am heartbroken by events in Ukraine. My thoughts and sympathies go out to all Ukrainians affected by these terrible events, and we are all hoping for an end to the conflict as swiftly as possible.
